What’s going on with my Leyland’s?

Do you have Leyland Cypress that are brown and dying out?  Well you are not alone, we have received numerous this season and can help you!

A popular plant of the Southeast has in the past 10-15 years become very extensively planted here in the Northeast coastal region.  This plant boasts adaptability to soil extremes, excellent salt tolerance and quick privacy screen establishment Cypress require full sun for best performance.  Planting them in shady environments will compromise their screening ability and subject them to additional stresses.

In our sample collecting and analysis we have found several problems surfacing.  The symptoms include tip dieback, resin oozing from cracks, branch discoloration and leader loss.  These problems stem from a myriad of problems from cankers to diseased pathogens and insect attacks.
